What we build.

Eight board types, one standard: AS/NZS 61439 compliant, Form 1 to 4B construction to your spec, weatherproof IP42 to IP56 ratings, and tested before delivery. Every board leaves able to prove it: design verification and arc flash analysis reports on demand.

Main Switchboards

The main switchboard is the first board in the installation: it takes the incoming supply from the network or transformer, carries the main switch and metering, and feeds every board downstream. Ours are engineered for the prospective fault level at the point of supply and verified to AS/NZS 61439, with segregation, authority metering and cable zones designed in before fabrication starts.

Main Distribution Boards

An MDB sits between the main switchboard and your distribution boards: it takes one large submain feed and splits it into smaller, individually protected submains for each area of the site. Every outgoing circuit is sized and fault rated for its position in the network, discrimination is coordinated with the boards above and below it, and metering and spare ways are built in for future load.

Distribution Boards

A DB is the last board in the chain: it takes a submain and breaks it out into final subcircuits for lighting, power and equipment. We build them to your board schedule with the chassis, breakers, labelling and testing completed in the workshop, so they arrive on site ready to terminate and energise.

Lighting Control Panels

Lighting control panels are the dedicated boards for sports field and area lighting: switching, protection and control for high mast lighting, fed from a single location or with a panel at each pole, depending on the contractor's requirements. We wire them to your switching design, with clearly labelled power and control sections and the interfaces your controls contractor needs.

Motor Control Centres

An MCC groups the starters, isolators and protection for a site’s motors into one board: one incoming supply, one tier of control wiring, one place to maintain. We arrange ours for the people who service them, with logical starter grouping, DOL, soft start or VSD sections, generous wiring room and spare capacity planned in.

Generator Backup

Generator backup keeps essential loads supplied when the mains fails: generator incoming, changeover switching and the separation of essential and non-essential supplies. We build manual and automatic transfer arrangements with the interlocking, signalling and labelling required for safe operation on either supply.

Control Enclosures

A control enclosure carries the relays, controllers, terminals and power supplies that run a specific piece of plant or process. We fabricate the enclosure, wire it to your functional specification and hand it over fully documented: schematics, test records and labelled terminations your commissioning team can work from.

Mechanical Services Switchboards

An MSSB is the dedicated board for a building’s mechanical plant: chillers, pumps, fans and air handling units, with power and controls sections side by side. We lay ours out around the mechanical design and the controls contractor’s needs, with starter sections, spare ways and clear labelling as standard. Built from your drawings or ours.


Built for the weather

Weatherproof & outdoor switchboards.

Most of what leaves our workshop lives outdoors. Every board type above can be built as a weatherproof external board: IP42 for sheltered plant areas through to IP56 custom boards for exposed, washdown and coastal sites across Brisbane and South East Queensland. Enclosures are fabricated to suit the site — powder-coated steel or stainless — with sealed entries and gasketed doors, and the IP rating is verified as part of the board's AS/NZS 61439 documentation, not assumed.

Common questions

What IP rating does an outdoor switchboard need?

IP42 suits sheltered or indoor plant areas; fully exposed, washdown and coastal sites generally call for IP56. We build weatherproof boards across that range and verify the rating as part of the board's AS/NZS 61439 documentation.

What's the difference between Form 3b and Form 4b?

Form ratings define internal segregation. Form 3b separates busbars from functional units, with terminals in one shared space; Form 4b also separates each unit's terminals, so work on one circuit doesn't expose another. We build Form 1 through 4B to suit the specification.

Do you deliver switchboards outside Brisbane?

Yes. Boards leave our Banyo workshop for sites across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast and all of South East Queensland, with delivery further into regional Queensland by arrangement.
